Yeah you here lots of wannabes talking lots of bo…nonsense about such stuff. There’s no way even a quick joe bloggs would gain anything from such hardware. Hard road use or even track experiences would place nothing like the demand on brakes of full blown racing.

Hi Simon,
Did my first 6th Gear day last Saturday at Elvington (Best of the Best), awesome day. Noticed there was a 997tt there, one of the instructors said it was fairly new to the fleet. Being a 996tt owner I was itching to get into the 997, but unfortunatley time didn’t allow.

Do you have any thoughts on a Porsche Pack, like your Aston, Lambo and Ferrari packs. Basically, any thoughts on a GT2 & GT3 to add to the Turbo?

After last weekend, yep, it’s as quick as the LP640 out of the turns, thanks to the big engine hanging out the back! It doesn’t wear it’s heart on it’s sleeve like a Lamborghini, but it’s got charisma of it’s own. If they were people, the LP640 would be Pavarotti, the Porsche would be Jason Bourne….

Well we want one buts its a question of getting hold of one. The first ones are due in the UK about June but there is likely to be a £30k premium which is very steep. When we choose new cars for the fleet we have to be really careful we don’t get personal feeling involved and purchase cars which we believe our customers will actually want to drive. But like the Aston DBS (one of our most popular cars) I think the 458 would be very popular.
So in answer to the question if we can source one at a sensible price later this year then its on the cards.
