Both Directors are ex Instructors and business owners, Andy being well known for competing recently in the Porsche Challenge Cup series and taking up the reins once more in 6th Gear’s Radical SR3 Race Car.
Steph Wilcox does a sterling job as General Manager and Dominic Terrana-Howe the same as 6th Gear’s Customer Services Manager with direct responsibility for our twelve Customer Service Assistants based at our office in Marston, West Midlands. Our Senior Events Co-ordinator is Tracy Meredith Alsop who ensures our event days run like clockwork. In addition to the full time staff mentioned above, 6th Gear employs around 50 part time race Instructors and twenty ground staff that work on 6th Gear’s event days. Our experienced Instructors are not only chosen for their driving abilities but also for their friendly communication skills. We never forget here at 6th Gear, that a customer’s Supercar Driving Experience is a very special event always resulting in a superb day to remember.
In keeping with this, 6th Gear supplies its Gift Vouchers to well known High Street retailers such as M&S, John Lewis, Selfridges and many more as well as being providers for well known internet based companies such as‘Buy a Gift’ and Trackdays.co.uk Our Teen Track Attack aimed at youngsters actually driving Supercars under safe and controlled conditions recently attracted the positive attention of Chris Evans on Radio 2. The growth of this sector of our business has been huge and to that end we now give youngsters a choice of four Supercars to drive! Simon is probably best known for being a contributing writer for many years to the best selling Supercar magazine ‘Evo’ and covering more miles in Lamborghini’s than anyone else!
By the beginning of 2010 6th Gear had expanded its fleet of Supercars to 23 including the flagship models from Ferrari, Aston Martin and Lamborghini. The company’s on-going policy is to continue to possess the best range of world class supercars in the business, a standard set to be raised even further by the arrival later this year of Ferrari’s stunning new 458 Italia. In 2012 6th Gear also takes delivery of the new £300,000 Lamborghini Murcielago replacement.
